Director of Human Resources, includes HR Generalist combined with talent
management, global experience with a focus on Asia/China, and experience with
manufacturing and unions. The description is included below.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of HR will report
to the SVP of Human Resources and will be supporting three major global business
units. Working with the executive team and the HR leaders, this role is
responsible for assessing and delivering global HR needs to ensure achievement
of strategic and operational business goals.

Particular support will be
provided to ensure managers are equipped to run their businesses efficiently and
are building high performance teams and integrating HR initiatives to support
strategic initiatives. S/he will need to develop quick and credible
relationships throughout the organization and gain the confidence and commitment
of the leadership team.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in
human resources and be an innovative leader with functional knowledge in
business. S/he will ideally be from a background with extensive HR generalist
experience in high growth global environments. The individual should have
significant experience in building best in class HR practices and leading
organizations through change.

? Serve as strategic HR partner to three
General Managers and their core leadership team.
? Advice and counsel
management on broad organizational design and talent management issues, employee
relations practices, policies and issues to ensure positive employer-employee
relationship, promote high level of employee engagement and adherence to Company
policies, procedures and programs, and ensure compliance with applicable
regulatory requirements.
? Assist employees and management in resolution of
work issues as they arise. Assist and counsel management on effective
documentation of employee relation matters.
? Oversee the performance
management system including performance review practices and alignment with
talent development.
? Identify and monitor employee engagement and morale to
assist management in maintaining a positive and productive work environment.

? Promptly and thoroughly conduct investigations of employee complaints or
concerns and advise management on appropriate action.
Supervisory
Responsibilities:

? Responsible for oversight of HR staff and overall
delivery of HR support.
? Demonstrate a professional leadership style that
provides vision and inspiration, promotes respectfulness and is viewed as
credible by others.
? Include staff in planning, decision-making,
facilitating and process improvement.
? Mentor HR staff to encourage
professional growth and development.

EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:
?
Broad knowledge and experience including, but not limited to, global HR
practices, employment law, compensation, talent management, change management,
employee relations and recruitment.
? Experience working in an industrial
setting with a pay for performance culture over the past 15+ years.
? Ability
to analyze complex policy issues, draw correct conclusions and articulate clear
and focused policy to wide and diverse audiences.
? Successful track record
of driving HR initiatives through business needs.
? Excellent communications
and operating instincts (both domestic and international) , good strategic
skills, sound business judgment, and the ability to achieve company goals by
leveraging HR expertise.
? Strong business acumen, intelligence and
creativity.
? A willingness to travel periodically.
? Ability to operate
with a sense of urgency, with proven ability to work across diverse lines of
business.
? Desire to be an outstanding team player with multi-cultural
understanding.
? Strong communication, leadership skills, and unquestionable
integrity.

? Is resilient; remains calm and deliberate under conditions
of stress.
? Must exhibit high level of confidentiality and
professionalism.

OBJECTIVES / GOALS (2011-2012):
? Lead the
organization design and execution process for one of the businesses that aligns
activity and results for market segments and growth strategies.
? Evaluate
talent across three businesses and determine talent/skill gaps and develop plan
to address. Partner with Talent Management to develop and Staffing to acquire
skills.
? Staff two critical HR openings by year end 2011.
? Support
productivity, capacity and safety improvements with leadership in all
locations.
? Work directly with Leadership Team to improve team performance,
dynamics and processes.
? Build the capability and engagement of the
workforce.
? Ensure positive employee relations/labor relations strategies
are in place and being executed at each site with low rates of legal
issues.
? Execute on enterprise processes such as TRP and pay planning to
drive the appropriate individual and organization outcomes.
? Develop and
retain high potential and promotable employees.

Education:
? Education
credentials should include an undergraduate degree, with an advanced degree,
such as an MBA preferred.
